Merops
libera
browser-based interface for Merops
Working with known tools is an attractive option
because of reduced training needs. However, there are problems inherent in
using some software, particularly regarding XML validation and upgrades to
operating systems and applications. Merops libera is a
stand-alone editing interface that simulates a familiar browser
environment, but delivers the richness of functionality of word-processors.

Presentation
interface
|
Because
Merops can be closely integrated with Eos,
our presentation tool, users of the Merops libera interface
can view documents in their final publishable form, whether that layout is
geared towards full-text HTML or print-ready PDF.
Within
this browser environment, complex XML structure can be hidden and
represented using Merops multicolor
to set up custom maps.

XML validation
|
In
an XML-based workflow, it is fundamental to downstream processes that the
XML has been validated against a DTD or schema. This is more than simply a
matter of converting a file into XML and then parsing it. Merops
libera validates XML in-situ and only accepts predefined
relationships between elements.

|
Queries
|
Merops
libera takes advantage of its tight control over
XML validity to offer a real-time query correction interface. Authors or
editors can correct XML documents remotely, enabling publishers to slash
lead times for stand-alone documents.

|
Word-processor
features
|
Merops
libera includes drag-and-drop editing, and can import
spelling libraries from leading word-processors.
